The Image Area is immediately below the menus. Images are displayed, left- adjusted in this area. While the cursor is within the displayed image, its position may be displayed (see 3.1). The three mouse buttons may be used to control the motion of the displayed (sub)sequence, when pressed while the cursor is within the displayed image.
The middle button starts and stops sequence Animation.
The left and right buttons change the (sub)sequence direction, and while the sequence is not Animated, cause a step to the next/previous (marked) image (left button forward and right button backward). Next/previous steps are end-around at the end/start of (sub)sequence.
The cursor may be effected from the keyboard.
i -> up j -> left l -> right m -> down
These keys work on any server keyboard. On SGI and NCD keyboards you may use the arrow keys of the keypad as well. On PC keboards (e.g. using PCAnywhere) you may also use keypad arrow keys, but the numeric lock must be on for them to function correctly.
To ``freeze'' the cursor press ``k'' (or keypad ``5'', as above).
The keyboard loses sensitivity whenever you open a menu. To restore sensitivity, move the mouse completely out of the application window and then back into the image.
