The People

Faculty Structure

The Faculty is administratively divided into two departments: the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics (Uriel Feige, Head), and the Department of Mathematics (Sergei Yakovenko, Head). The Faculty also hosts the John von Neumann Minerva Center for the Development of Reactive Systems (David Harel, Director), and the Moross Laboratory for Vision Research and Robotics (Shimon Ullman, Director), and is supported by the Arthur and Rochelle Belfer Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science (Zvi Artstein, Director).

Postdoctoral Fellows

Each year the Faculty hosts about a dozen postdoctoral fellows. They often work closely with a particular Faculty member or as part of a research group.

Students

Faculty members are involved in the activities of the Feinberg Graduate School insofar as teaching and supervision of theses are concerned, through the Board of Studies in Mathematics and Computer Science (Ran Raz, Chairperson).

Faculty members are involved in teaching approximately twenty graduate courses per semester. In addition, at any given time, they supervise over 100 Ph.D. and M.Sc. students.
