Oberwolfach Meeting on Complexity Theory (history)

The Oberwolfach Mathematical Institute host every year about 50 weekly meetings on various topics in mathematics. These meetings are organized on a voluntary basis by groups of researchers, pending on the approval of their proposal by the board of the Institute.

The Meeting on Complexity Theory was initiated by Claus Schnorr and Arnold Schonhage, and took place for the first time in November 1972. Usually (but not always), the meeting took place every second year, in the middle of the Fall.
