As a biology major, I have a strong love for mathematics. I want to work in the interface between biology and mathematics. I got a Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering, and a Master degree in Environmental Biology. When I was a graduate student in Institute of Hydrobiology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, my supervisor found my potential in mathematics. So he guided me to do some environmental modeling work. After graduation, I worked as a programmer in VTech Group, a Hong Kong company. I was mainly engaged in developing environmental software there. So far, I have implemented algorithm for our Road Traffic Noise Assessment System and the algorithm for Health Risk Assessment System of our Indoor Air Quality Simulator. I also participated in the design of our Quantitative Risk Assessment System. After two years of experience as programmer, I have mastered OOA/OOD and accumulated some experience in C++ and VB programming.
