Workshop in Computational Biology

The Genome Rearrangement page is a demonstration of an efficient algorithm for Genome Rearrangement, developed by Ron Shamir from Tel Aviv university. This demonstration is a was implemented during my B. Sc, studies.

THE ROAD NOT TAKEN

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Curriculum Vitae

Academic

• I graduated summa cum laude B. Sc. in Math and Computer Science in Tel Aviv University in 1999
• Since October 99 I am studying for M. Sc. in Computer Science in Weizmann Institute of Science. My domains of interest are Algorithms and Cryptography.
• My research concentrates in cryptanalysis of the stream ciphers, and in particular my current challenge is the notorious RC4.
• One of our results, a Trivial Distinguisher of RC4 and a Practial Attack on Broadcast RC4, was presented in FSE 2001
• More results, considering special patterns that propagate through the KSA of RC4, were described in the Rump Session of FSE 2001 and will be submitted to SAC 2001.
• These results, as well as others considering the security of RC4, can be found in my RC4 page.

• Combat officer in IDF (1991-1995, and probably for fifteen more years)
