Workshop in Computational Biology

The Genome Rearrangement page is a demonstration of an efficient algorithm for Genome Rearrangement, developed by Ron Shamir from Tel Aviv university. This demonstration is a was implemented during my B. Sc, studies.

Poetry THE ROAD NOT TAKEN

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

Curriculum Vitae

Academic

I graduated summa cum laude B. Sc. in Math and Computer Science in Tel Aviv University in 1999
Since October 99 I am studying for M. Sc. in Computer Science in Weizmann Institute of Science. My domains of interest are Algorithms and Cryptography.
My research concentrates in cryptanalysis of the stream ciphers, and in particular my current challenge is the notorious RC4.
One of our results, a Trivial Distinguisher of RC4 and a Practial Attack on Broadcast RC4, was presented in FSE 2001
More results, considering special patterns that propagate through the KSA of RC4, were described in the Rump Session of FSE 2001 and will be submitted to SAC 2001.
These results, as well as others considering the security of RC4, can be found in my RC4 page.
