My research focus on movement imitation, a unique sensory-motor transformation in which an agent transforms perceived movements to similar executed movements.

Text Box: We assume that the only part of the visual information is used in this transformation.
If so, what visual features are extracted and used in the transformation from perceived movements to performed movements?
Three approaches are used to answer this question:

Imagine your dance teacher performs a movement, while you try to imitate her. Your brain needs to convert millions of pixels on your retina to millions of commands to your motor neurons. Your brain has to perform a complicated transformation between two very large, and very different spaces: a low-level visual space and a low-level motor space.

study how the brain gathers information during imitation by looking at gaze positions
