Adapting Economic Models to the Internet
This is a joint project combining Computer Scientists and Economists in several universities is in Isreal. It is funded by the Ministry of Science.
The Internet brings to the world many new challenges. The challenge of Electronic Commerce is definitely one of the most attractive ones among them. On the most general level, Electronic Commerce deals with economic transactions in computerized settings. The goal of this project is to combine a detailed study of economic models and mechanisms of trade with a rigorous study of computational models and mechanisms, and hopefully make some successful synthesis of these two fields.
Once a month, at alternating locations we have a joint seminar on the topic.
