Note: I am on a sabbatical in Boston until summer 2018.
I am a faculty member at the Computer Science and Applied Math Department at the Weizmann Institute of Science. Previous to that, I was a post-doctoral researcher at Microsoft Research. I completed my Ph.D. in 2010 at the Machine Learning Lab
in the Hebrew University, advised by Prof. Naftali Tishby. I received an M.Sc in Computer Science and a B.Sc in Mathematics and Computer Science in 2008 and 2007 respectively, all from the Hebrew University.
My research interests focus on machine learning, with emphasis on algorithms which combine practical efficiency and theoretical insight. I am also interested in the many intersections of machine learning with related fields, such as optimization, statistics, theoretical computer science and AI.
