TCC: Aims and Scope
The Theory of Cryptography deals with the paradigms, approaches and techniques
used to conceptualize, define and provide solutions to natural cryptographic
problems. Research in this area includes:
- The study of known paradigms (resp. approaches and techniques),
directed towards a better understanding and utilization of the latter.
- Discovery of new paradigms (resp. approaches and techniques)
that overcome inherent or seemingly inherent limitations of the
existing paradigms.
- Formulation of new cryptographic problems and treating them
using known or new paradigms (resp. approaches and techniques).
The importance of the Theory of Cryptography is widely recognized by now.
This area has contributed much to the practice of cryptography and secure
systems as well as to the theory of computation at large. The Theory of
Cryptography Conference is a new venue dedicated to the dissemination
of results in the area. The conference will provide a meeting place for
researchers and be instrumental in shaping the identity of the
Theory of Cryptography.
