Born in Haifa, Israel, Oct. 1964, to Josef Rom and Yael Rom (יעל רום).

In life, like in science, likes to do (too?) many different things (painting, reading, water-sports,

flying, biking, skiing, scuba-diving and others) and thus suffers from the very good problem of

lack of time to take a breath (which is yet another thing I like to do from time to time).
