Final Projects
Projects Due Date:
August 14,2008
Submission: individually or in pairs
General Instructions:
Please choose one of the three projects described below, and send
Ira an email
by July
19th, which of the three projects you have chosen to do.
The programs should be written in MATLAB. Remember that MATLAB is efficient
when the code is vectorized, so use built-in matrix operations and functions
instead of loops.
Write a theoretical report. The report should describe the problem you are
addressing, the proposed algorithm, its theoretical justification and the
results you got. Important
mathematical equations need to be included. Description of your implementation
should also be present in the report, it ought to include problems you have
encountered, their solutions and any assumptions made in your software. Last but
not least, a serious discussion of your results must conclude your
report. This part ought to explain any problems with your results. Any other
comments or insights you have gained during your work should find their way to
your report. We would like to see how well you understand the subject.
By the project due date send an email to
Sharon with subject
title: "computer vision course final project" which includes:
- your names and email-addresses
- the name of the project you have chosen
- an attached zip file containing your source code
and the theoretical report, which can be
executed as described in each of the different projects.
Please choose one of the following three projects:
- Image Classification using Informative Features -
PDF
- Exploiting Visual Redundancy in
Images for Image Enhancement - PDF
- Three-dimensional Shape Reconstruction using
Photometric Stereo-

Good Luck !
