A hearty hello to all our friends and relatives out there in web world. I'm sorry i've been such a poor correspondent, but times are difficult. Between helping taking care of the girls and trying to finish up my academic requirements, the only things I've had time for are non-mind-exerting activities such as sleeping , eating and watching TV while the girls feed.
You probably never thought you'd hear a guy say this, but: Thank god for mother-in-laws! Mine has been a tremendous help since she arrived. Although there have been some rough spots I think we've got them ironed out, more or less, trying in earnest not to step on each others toes. Olga (The mother in law in question) has been holding down the fort, quite successfully during the days that both Eli and I go to work. Sometime I have feelings of guilt, but it is very refreshing to associate with other human beings who dont cry, burp, fart, spit and sleep all the time (cubed)!
Not everything is that bleak with the girls. All three have developed terrific social smiles most commonly seen on Keren's face, especially while taking a self inflicted break from eating (I dare you to put that bottle in my mouth! If you do I'll throw up! Tee-hee :-). While Noa is genuine about her smile, especially during the morning hours, it seems to her quite hilarious looking at a haggard face which hasn't seen a whole nights sleep in about 2 months, 3 days and 15 hrs. (but who's counting)! After she finishes eating she'll hang on for dear life not to fall asleep and do a couple of pushups, literally - she lies on her stomach and cranes her head while propping herself with her hands. I guess she will be crawling or turning over pretty soon. Shajar the queen of scream rock (not much of a beat but definitely ear deafening and continuous), between the times that she sleeps or eats or mostly screams, will reward you with a nice smile. Like Noa she also seem to be laughing (not yet a gurgle).
All three are gaining weight nicely perhaps with Keren as an exception. She still hasn't regained her full apetite. We've started feeding the girls pureed squash, which they seem to like. Noa sucks it off the spoon - sometime she regurgitates it and makes an awful mess. Keren and Shajar are a bit slower (and Shajar is a bit less cooperative).
